Principal for a Day
Tradition: something handed down from the past. Principal for a Day is one of those traditions that the kids look forward to every year. Before the auction, kids are begging their parents to buy this treasured auction item. After the auction, they are on pins and needles waiting to hear who the lucky "undercover boss" will be. As Principal for a Day, your student will see first-hand what it is like to run our school - setting new policies, electing helpers, and enjoying a special "business lunch" off campus with Mrs. Krauss. The kids love to see what the new principal has in store for them, so move over Mrs. Krauss, there's a new boss in town!

Every Child is a Gift from God

The 4th Grade class project is made up of colorful silhouette portraits of  each student presented on a 16x20 art canvas.  The students were professionally photographed by Erin Daniels Bangle, a Spokane photographer and current St. Al's parent. For the finishing touch, each student signed their name on their silhouette. Priceless!

Home Sweet Home

This whimsical class project is sure to leave an imprint on your heart.  The K-All Day class has created this one-of-a-kind piece of pallet art that displays their love for our home state, our home town, and our school.  The state of Washington is decorated with the unique fingerprints of each child, and the heart is placed over our very own Lilac City.  Don't miss the opportunity to buy this wonderful piece where your child left their mark.

The Big Picture
The Big Picture

"It's always the small pieces that make the big picture." -unknown

The 8th grade project was created with photographs taken by the 8th graders themselves.  Each student had an opportunity to photograph a day in the life of St. Al's.  Miniature versions of these pictures were used to create a collective image of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.  This beautifully framed picture is a great reminder of how we are all a small piece of the puzzle that is life.  Together we create a masterpiece!

World of Color
World of Color

The 7th grade class has crafted a beautiful mirror to remind us that we are all called to reflect the love of Jesus Christ. This tile framed mirror was created using alcohol based inks. Each student started out with a few drops of ink, added a diffuser and as they watched the ink spread, new colors and designs were formed. Imagine each of us taking our faith, sharing our gifts and talents, and watching the world change for the better!
